Santiago Moses Baca, 85, of Rawlins, passed away on September 20, 2013. He was born September 10, 1928, in San Luis, CO, to parents Josie (Baca) and Gus Romero. Santiago served in the U.S. Army from March 26, 1947 until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1950. He is remembered fondly by his family as a man who loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family. He was also an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patsy Baca; children: Rose (Hector) Ochoa, Patsy Garcia, Donna (Jose) Esquivel, Michael (Melissa) Baca, Anthony (Patricia) Baca, Maria (Alfredo) Olivas, Charles (Brenda) Baca, Albert (Geneva) Baca, Theresa (Mark) O'Brien, and Ramona Garcia; 28 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings: Nash (Mary Alice) Garcia, Rose (Eric) Erickson, Cordie Pacheco, and Cecilia Ochoa.
