Louise Hudson, 65, of Salinas, a retired school teacher, died Monday at Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on April 9, 1915, in Indiana, Mrs. Hudson started work as a teacher for the Salinas Elementary School District in 1960 and was a district consultant when se retired in 1979. A member of the Prunedale Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she lived in Salinas at 10 Russell Road. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Matte of Monterey; son Steve Feigel of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; mother, Bessie Barcus Justus of Salinas, and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the LDS Church at 255 E. Alvin Ave., Salinas, with clergy of the Prunedale Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Salinas. Friends may call at the Struve and La Porte Funeral Home chapel until 9 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Thursday. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Hospice of the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel Valley.
