HAVERHILL — Marian G. (Brown) Rollins-Royer, 92 of Haverhill and formerly of Derry, N.H., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009 at Penacook Place.
She was born in Derry on Jan. 29, 1916, daughter of the late Frank and Abbie J. (Sleeper) Brown, and was educated in the Sandown Public Schools.
Marian was employed in the shoe Industry and prior to her retirement at the age of 62 worked for over 27 years in the Quartz Crystal Room at Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies.
She was a former member of the Peoples United Church and was currently a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Prayer Chain.
She was married to the late Andrew Rollins and the late Donald Royer, and her survivors include a son Gary J. and his wife Rosalie H. Rollins of Livermore, Calif.; six grandchildren Julie, Kimberly, Keith, Brett Rollins, Sherry Tiago, Danielle Walton.14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was also the grandmother of the late Elaine Rollins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her funeral Thursday at 10 a.m at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Cemetery, East Derry, N.H. Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Beacon Hospice, 350 Main St., Haverhill MA 01830.
