They initially settled in Pleasant Township, Madison County, Ohio.
They moved between 1870 and 1880 federal census to Monroe Township, Pickaway County. Before the 1910 federal census he moved to Muhlenburg Township.
He farmed his entire adult life.
Died after 3 days of illness at age 83 years, apoplexy.
