She and her husband have farmed in Garfield and Valley counties since 1935. In 1942 they bought a farm south of Ord where they lived until his retirement in 1954. After a year in Omaha, they returned to Ord, purchased a residence at 220 No. 24 St.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Mira Valley.
Sadie passed away October 23, 1959 at the age of 64. She died enroute to the hospital at Ord, Nebraska. Funeral rites were conducted Monday at the Ord Methodist church.
Survivors include the widower, five sons - one son deceased, two daughters; 18 grandchildren; sister, Agnes Johnstone of Stockton, Calif.; brother William A. Kelly of Kansas City Mo.; 35 nieces and nephews.
The children were: : Donald, Leonard and Robert of Ord; Merle of Omaha; Gail E. of Oswego. Ore., and Paul William, deceased; Mrs. Beth Vasicek of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Mrs. Lila Lee Evans of Gering.
