Mrs. Mary Alice Kaufman, 71, wife of John P. Kaufman of Dayton, died at Grandview Hospital Dayton, Friday at 5:15 p.m. She had been in failing health for five years.
The daughter of Charles and Margaret Smith Morris, she was born Dec. 9, 1883, in Wilmington and was married to Mr. Kaufman Mar. 27, 1921. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Women of the Moose, Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Eagles Auxiliary. Her Dayton address was Belleview Apartments, No. 1 East Riverview Avenue.
In addition to her husband, she is survivied by three sons, Stanley Floyd of Dayton, Ronald and Maynard Floyd of Wilmington; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Stibbs of Deland, Fla; one brother, Stacey Morris of Wilmington; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Taylor of Wilmington, and Mrs. James Holsapple of Dayton; one half-sister, Mrs. Emma Malone of Wilmington; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Ray. W. Beegle, and interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
