Mr. Creecy was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Fort Worth to W. J. and Bessie Creecy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy submarine force. He retired from Howell Instruments after 38 years of service. Mr. Creecy was an active member of Chisholm Trail Baptist Church and served as an assistant in the 2- and 3-year-old class. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball during his association with the Northeast Optimist Organization. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf, softball and bowling. The joy of his life was his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Joyce Creecy of Newark; sons, John Creecy, Jerral Creecy, Jimmy Creecy, Jeff Creecy and Jerry Creecy; 13 grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers.
