Early Life: Barney was born March 1, 1922, in Lake Shore, Utah, to Dell Vernon and Nettie Barney Argyle. He attended Lake Shore and Spanish Fork schools.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Barney entered the military during World War II and served in the European Theater as part of the Fourth Armored Division, of which he was extremely proud. In 1945, upon returning home, Barney married his sweetheart, Ruth Lillian Hawkins on June 28, 1945, in Spanish Fork, Utah. After the war, he ran the family farm in Lake Shore and worked for 30 years in the electrical department of Spanish Fork City. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Barney was a true cowboy, always sharing stories of chasing wild mustangs, treeing mountain lions, and participating in the Arrowhead Riding Club for many years. He was known for quietly going about doing good deeds and serving others. He was always very loving and caring towards all. Barney especially cherished his family and the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barney Argyle, of Lake Shore, Utah, passed away on September 21, 2013. He was 91.
Survived By: His daughter, Joyce A. Carter; son-in-law, Steven Davis; two sisters, Donna Murray and Debby Johns; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: His wife, Ruth; his daughter, Karla Davis; and his parents.
