LEHI - Robert Mitchell Allred, 82, 363 N. 3rd W., Lehi, former Lehi fire chief, and native and long-time resident of this community, died early Thursday morning at a Pleasant Grove nursing home of a heart ailment.

Mr. Allred was born Nov. 8, 1886, in Lehi, a son of Delbert H. and Orinda J. Davis Allred. He married Hazel Pearl Beck Allred on June 1, 1910, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, She died Sept. 14, 1968.

Mr. Allred had served as chief of the Lehi Fire Department for a number of years. He was a charter member of the Lehi Civic Improvement Committee, and of the Lehi Rodeo Committee.

Active in the LDS Church, he had served as president of his elders' quorum and as a member of the stake and ward
choirs.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph R. (Clarice) Richards, Donner Lake, Calif.; Mrs. Orville (Betha) Gunther, Munich, Germany; Sherwin R. Allred, Lehi, and Dorald M. Allred, Provo; 19 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren, and two brothers and one sister, D. Ray Allred, E. Herman Allred and Jennie Nostrom, all of Lehi.

Funeral services are Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary at Lehi with Bishop Boyd Stewart, Leni Seventh LDS Ward, officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
