Michael L. Guinn
Michael L. Guinn, resident of Ponca City, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was 67.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Sunset Baptist Church, Ponca City with Matt Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mike was born in Seattle, Wash. on April 27, 1946, the son of Luther William Guinn and Juliette Compstock. He was married to Dorothy Hodge on Dec. 19, 1976, in Arkansas City, Kan. He was a chiropractor and bail bondsman.
He was involved in raising his family, working hard and teaching the art of eating peanut butter properly. He also enjoyed watching westerns on TV and his favorite were John Wayne movies.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; six children, Mike Guinn II, Kimberly Guinn, Sean Robinson, Tamara Johnson, Forrest Robinson and Scott Guinn; 17 grandchildren, Michael Guinn III, Rhiannon Guinn, Sam Guinn, Kyndalle Lindsey, Aleah Robinson, Cloe Robinson, Lily Robinson, Dustin Johnson, Brannen Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, Caitlin Johnson, Autumn Robinson, Ailey Robinson, Brenton Guinn and Winter Guinn; and three sisters, Judy Fiddler, Pat Tatum and Billie Murray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Judy Guinn and sister, Kathy Shrum.
Casket bearers will be Mike Guinn II, Sean Robinson, Forrest Robinson, Brannen Johnson, Nathan Johnson and Greg Lyon.
