Albert Vance Burton, 73, of 838 Mashburn Avenue, Pulaski, died Tuesday in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born Oct. 7, 1919 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late John Henry Burton and Mary Elizabeth Turner Burton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellie Mae Goad Burton;, and three brothers, Clarence D. Burton, Clayton A. Burton and Thomas E. Burton.

He was a retired employee of the Town of Pulaski with 30 years of service.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Randall Lawrence and the Rev. Preston Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Pulaski VFW Post #1184 and the Virginia Defense Force. Visiting will be after 2 p. m. today at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p. m.
