PINEVILLE - Lettie Mae Lambert, 91, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in a Wyoming County care center following a long illness.

Born March 29, 1908, at Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Green Pendleton Goode (1868-1957) and Ada M. Brooks-Goode (1883-1947).

Mrs. Lambert was a retired school teacher and a member of the Pineville First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Pineville Woman's Club and the Castle Rock Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Lambert, Sr. (1903-1984) whom she married on January 11, 1929 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1929, Page 434, Application Date: January 10, 1929); her siblings, Virgil A. Goode (1905-1967), Bert Goode (1911-1971), Arnold Goode (1909-1909) and Maggie Lee Goode (1916-1984); her half siblings, Ora Goode-Bailey, Grace Goode-Lemon (1897-1998), and Oliver Howard Goode (1899-1984); and a grandson, Matthew Lambert (Deceased).

Survivors include two sons, Dr. John Samuel "Sam" Lambert Jr. (1930-2012) and his wife, Freeda Hash-Lambert, of Pineville, and Ronald Jack Lambert, Sr. and his wife, Helen, of Pineville; a daughter, Christine L. Lambert-Ferguson and her husband, Jerry, of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren, Laura McKinney, Monica Petrof, Heather Reed, Ronald Jack Lambert Jr. and Jason Trisler; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Reed and Joseph Samuel Petrof.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Revs. R.J. Chenoweth
Jr. and Dorcas Conrad officiating. Entombment will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Matheny.
