Worker Killed At Rock Plant
Morris Tucker 31 was instantly killed Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock when the cable on a drag line broke and the boom struck the victim who was seated on a Mississippi wagon at the Tracy Rock and Gravel plant near Carbone. A native of Arkansas, Tucker was the husband of Mrs. Pearl Tucker and the father of Joan Tucker of Tracy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W H Tucker and the brother of Frank Tucker; Mrs. Elaine Duke; and Mrs. Jewel Highfill, all of Tracy; and Earl Tucker of Danville, Ark; Elmer Tucker of Dumas, Ark; Gifford Tucker of McGee, Ark. He was a member of Local 489 Teamsters Chauffeurs Warehouse men and Helpers Union, Stockton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from Hotchkiss Mortuary. Interment will be in Tracy cemetery.
