Services for Deneva 'Dee' (Huff) Skelton, 76, of Lufkin, will be held in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Skelton was born August 23, 1937 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Grace (Harbuck) and Buck Huff. She passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her residence.

Ms. Skelton graduated from Lufkin High School and attended Massey Business School. She worked for Land 'O Pines, then worked for Woody's Toys, and later worked in other entities for Mr. Woody Gann. She was his secretary for 32 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing bingo. Ms. Skelton was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Robert Tarver (Conroe); grandson, Dustin Tarver; 3 nieces; numerous cousins; and special friend, Wanda Creamer.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Skelton was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Betty Tarver; son, Clay Tarver; and brother, Dale (Bubba) Huff.

Services placed in trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
