Wife of C. Marley Green of Sugar Land and daughter of Thomas E. and Sybil Brawner, founders of Brawner Paper Company in Houston. Joyce will be remembered for her youthful spirit, love of beauty, devotion to her family and community. Most recently she was an active supporter of her husband Marley's involvement in Rotary and Rotary International. She was a member of Saint Martins Episcopal Church and the Texas EX's. Her passion and pleasure was travel. When she traveled her favorite souvenir was a new friend and she had many. Joyce developed lasting relationships around the world, with a reputation as a gracious host. Her other passion was football as a long time season ticket holder of the University of Texas she enthusiastically supported her alma mater. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her brother, Lee Brawner of Houston. She will be greatly missed by her children, Thomas P. Arnold and wife Donna of Sugar Land and Melissa Arnold Simpson and husband Roy of Wimberley as well as the Green family children, Charlie and Gayle Green of Sugar Land, Mike and Stephany Green of Marfa and Melinda and Dan Rice of Austin. Her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Meredith Arnold, Parker and Will Simpson, Lauren and Joanna Green, Brooks and Amber Rice will miss her deeply.
