Willie Fry, age 6, the only son of Mr. & Mrs. John G. Fry, a bright young and christian child, departed this life on Thursday, October 15, from Diphtheria. His illness as a short duration. Eight hours prior to his death this little young witness to Christ requested that Rev. L. Rymarski be called and pray for him. His request was obeyed and as the reverend took his position before the young hero, he folded his little hands, with eyes turned heavenward, which position he held until the close of the prayer. Interment took place in the Trinity Church Burial Ground on Dutch Run on Saturday. It can be safely said that he is safe in the arms of Jesus. -- The Democratic Standard, October 23, 1896
