Benton ~ Charles Alvia Benton, 27 of 820 Stuart, died at Spring Branch at 1:10 p. m. Monday. He had lived in Houston two months, coming here from Austin. he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Wessie Benton; a son, Charles W. Benton; a brother, Joe Oliver Benton of Houston; two sisters, Miss Mayme Benton of Indianapolis and Miss Ermal Benton of Houston; and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Verhelle of Houston. Burial will be in Hollywood Gardens.
