Fern Adams, 91, of Newton, formerly of Creston, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at Newton Healthcare Center, Newton, Iowa. Fern Lucille Adams, the daughter of Oral and Mary (Hopkins) Smith, was born on April 26, 1921 in Leon, Iowa. On February 26, 1941, Fern married Truman Albert Adams in Centerville, Iowa. Preceding Fern in death were her parents; her husband in 1994; her son, Laverne "L. T." Adams in 1997; her three brothers and their wives; her two sisters and their husbands; and her son-in-law, Robert McCart.
