Barbara E. “Nana” Arndt Adams, age 58, of Mt. Gilead died Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Morrow County Hospital following a short illness.
She was born in Galion, Ohio on December 22, 1946 to the late Thomas E. Arndt and Opal (Koontz) Arndt of Marengo. Graduate of Highland High School Class of 1964 and the Ohio Columbus School of Cosmetology, where she received an associate’s degree in cosmetology and a management license. A lifelong resident of the Morrow county area, Barb worked as a beautician at the Morning View Care Center in Fulton for 17 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nana enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, crocheting her “Nana” blankets and dish cloths, and cross stitching.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her Companion: David Welch of Pulaskiville, Daughters: Bonnie (Robert) Keen of Marengo, and Brandi (Sean) Young of Danville, Son: Brent (Belinda) Adams of Edison, Grandchildren: ShaVaughna and Sara Keen, Keeley, Kristian, Kendell, Kamden, Kamree, and Kullen “Eli” Young, Austin, Kirkland, Brandon, and Hailey Adams, Brothers: Bartley (Barbara) Arndt of Marengo, Benjamin (Bonny) Arndt of Marengo, Bernard (Kathy) Arndt of Johnsville, Sisters: Brenda (Paul) Morse of Marengo, and Beverley Wallace of Marengo.
Friends may call Monday from 10 – Noon and 2 – 4 p.m at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 229, Marengo.
