Funeral services for Opal Louise Coyner, age 84 of Claremore formerly of Cushing/ Ripley area will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Perkins Church of the Firstborn. Brother Elvis Earnest will officiate. Interment to follow at the Flynn Cemetery, southwest of Cushing.

Elvis and Carol Earnest will sing "Stroll over Heaven" and "Beulah Land". Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Lane, Roger Lane, Clay Harmon, Rick McCoy, Raymond Gaither and Ronald Coyner.

Services are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Opal was born on September 15, 1922 in Missouri to Jake and Myrtle (Williams) Brewer, the youngest of thirteen children. She married Raymond Coyner on November 2, 1943 in Chandler, Oklahoma. They lived in Cushing for 20 years prior to moving to Ripley in 1972 when Mr. Coyner retired from the Hudson Oil Refinery. They later moved to Claremore to be near their daughter. Mr. Coyner preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1997. Opal was a member of the Perkins Church of the Firstborn. She was a homemaker. Opal died on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Wood Manor Nursing Home in Claremore.

Survivors include her son Don Coyner and wife Ann of Inola, daughter Sharon Pettus and husband Bill of rural Langley, grandchildren Skip Pettus and wife Lori, Derek Pettus and wife Deana, Tracy Coyner and wife Tina, Shellie Coyner, great grandchildren Ryan and Colby Pettus, Dakota and Dylan Pettus, Amber and Jake Coyner, Tori Cheyenne Brady, Aidan Watts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
