Shirley A. Remington was born April 11, 1917 in Shiawassee County, Michigan, the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Hankinson) Mortimore. She passed away September 11, 2013 at the age of 96.
She retired after many years of service from Motor Wheel Corporation in 1976. Shirley moved with her husband, Harry, to Florida in 1977.
She worked as a hairdresser, a salesperson at Jacobsons, and managed a boutique in Florida.
The family would like to thank the staff at Burcham Hills for their wonderful care and kindness that they shared with Shirley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1979.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Trudy (John) Good; son, Rudy (Elaine) Simpson; four grandchildren, Jason (Kristin) Good, Derek (Cyndi) Good, Kristin (Donovan) Troup and Erica (Nick) Knebl.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing Chapel.
