Katelyn's father, Robert Rivera, had a history of domestic violence against Katelyn's mother and she took the baby and filed charges against him and moved out of their home in July 1999. On August 10, 1999, Rivera broke into Katelyn's babysitter's home, in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, tied the babysitter up and kidnapped his daughter. She was only a year old at the time. Rivera was later arrested, alone. He claimed he'd given the baby to a couple he did not know at a horticultural garden in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. There was no evidence to support his version of evidence and police believed he'd killed Katelyn. In September, one of her shoes and socks were found off Route 202. In March 2000, Rivera was charged with abducting and murdering his daughter. He pleaded guilty. Katelyn's body was never found. Police believed she was murdered so her father could get back at her mother. All bio information and photo's are from the website Children Who Never Made It Home (http://www.free-webspace.biz/thevictims/ages.html).
