Walter B. Hammer, of Thayer died at 6:20 a.m., yesterday at the Wonsavage convalescent home, 1625 E. Edwards St. He was 75 years old.
He is survived by a son, John, of Maine; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Mottershaw, Thayer; Mrs. Veva Cargnino, Kincaid; Mrs. Thelma Katcher, Divernon, and Mrs. Ethel Adkins, St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Wesley, Summer Shade, Ky.,
and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Thayer Methodist church with Rev. Donald Lemkau officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn cemetery. Remains are at the Vancil funeral home where friends may call from noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, when the remains will be taken to the Thayer Methodist church.
