BIOGRAPHY

Albert "Doc" Crawford was born in Petoskey where he attended and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1925. On June 4, 1929, Ida Doherty and Mr. Crawford married. They made their home in Petoskey ever since that time.

Albert was affiliated with Greenwood Cemetery since 1931. He was the superintendent of the cemetery from 1943 to 1977 until the time he retired. His father was superintendent before him.

He was the clerk of Resort Township for a number of years and was also a member of the then Emmet County Board of Supervisors, representing the Third Ward.

Albert was an avid sportsman and very active in the Emmet County Sportsman's Club where he was a member of the Emmet County Sportsman's Club. He was also a member of the North American Grouse Society, and former member of the Northern Michigan Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
