Funeral services for C. D. Moore, prominent farmer of Dorsey, Rt. 2, were held at Keys Cemetery on February 22, 1947. Mr. Moore was 85 years old. Death came on Friday morning (Feb. 21) following an attack of pneumonia. He was one of the leaders of his community as long as he was able to get about, and continues his interest in community affairs until his death. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church for 40 years.
He leaves his children as follows: Mrs. Hassie Gillentine, A. E. Moore, J. D. Moore, and Mrs. Louizzette Enlow, all of Dorsey, Rt. 2, and Luther Moore of Tupelo and Mrs. Myrtle Sheffield of Tupelo.
