In 1850 Surry County census (southern division which is now Yadkin) he was a physician, age 36, and born in NC and his wife Camilla (shows as Camelia) was age 20 and shows as born in FL. They had one child named Mary age 1 and also had a brother (presumed) Jacob (age 32) living with them and Jane Clingman, age 60 from NC which is probably his mother.
