Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Merlyn Edward Lloyd, passed away on September 12, 2013.

He was born June 7, 1929 in Riverton, Utah to Blanche Beckstead and Fredrick Edward Lloyd.

He married his sweetheart, Donna Laurel Dimmick, on June 2, 1950; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Merlyn loved camping and fishing, passing on this love to his children and grandchildren. A weekend at Strawberry Reservoir with family and friends was his idea of heaven. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Merlyn will be remembered by his grandchildren for his loving teasing.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Alan; son, Steven; and brothers, LaVelle and LeRoy. Survived by his wife, daughter, Vicky; son, Brent (Trudie); thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Memories of time spent with this wonderful man will be treasured.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the River Eighth Ward Chapel, 7350 South 1300 West. Friends may call on Monday evening, September 16, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
