Richard M. Juten, 73, of North Aurora passed away Friday, April 04, 2008 at his home. He was born November 28, 1934 in Washington, D.C. Richard graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1957. He was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He married Gaye Todd Smith on February 2, 1956. Richard was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during 1957-1964 and was stationed in Japan and Albuquerque, N.M. He lived in North Aurora since 1966 and was a licensee for E.K.W. Systems, Inc. from 1965 until his death. Richard collected seashells since his childhood traveling in Guam and Yap Islands with his father who was in the Navy. He enjoyed building and carpentry. He loved to take photographs and he especially loved a beautiful sunset. He loved wildlife and fed birds, raccoons, flying squirrels, possums, and rabbits in his back yard. He is survived by his father Milford A. Juten; three children J. Scott (Linda) Juten, Christopher (Karen) Juten, and Lisa (Myles Bryl) Gillum; his grandchildren Richard Juten, Kathleen Juten, Janet Juten, Joseph Juten, Elayne Juten, and Kyle Juten, Shelly (Todd) Provost, Steven (Esmeralda) Keller, William Gillum II, Richard Gillum, Jr., and Lauren Gillum; his great grandchildren Isabella Keller, Amanda Carr, Emily Carr, and Adrik Carr. He was preceded in death by his wife Gaye and his mother Jeanette Juten. Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 9:30am to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00am. Fr. John Slampak will officiate with interment at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
