Norbert Anthony Zimmerman, 86, of Los Banos, passed away Saturday at Los Banos Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Zimmerman was born in Maryville, Missouri and was a resident of Los Banos for eight years.

He was a Police Officer for twenty years, working for Lawrence Livermore Lab and served in the US Marines during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War and retired from the Marines.

He was a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady Miracles Church in Gustine, and a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Fleet Reserve.

Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife, Frances Zimmerman of Los Banos; sons, Denzil, Thomas, Mike, Kenneth and Paul Zimmerman; daughter, Theresa Lanza; step sons, Steven, Robert, David, and Aloysius "Skip" DeKeyrel; seven brothers; and one sister; nine grand children; and ten great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor and son, Christopher Zimmerman.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 17th followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 18th at the Shrine of Our Lady Miracles Church in Gustine.

Interment to follow at 1:00 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

Services conducted by Hillview Funeral Chapel, Gustine.
