Richard Quesnel (Dick) passed away following a long battle with cancer on Monday September 9, 2013, in his home with family members by his side.

Richard was born September 1, 1936, in Saginaw Michigan to Eugene and Leona Quesnel. Richard graduated from Saginaw High School before graduating from Michigan State University in 1962. He then served four years in the USAF from 1954 to 1958.

Richard met his wife Carol Wolfe at the Ohio state fair and they married in 1957. He worked at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, Wright Patterson AFB and at VAFB from 1968 until his retirement in 1999.

He was a devoted God loving man who served as a deacon at The Church of Christ. His faith and his family were his life treasures.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife Carol of 55 years. This September 28th would have been their 56th wedding anniversary. He also leaves siblings Janet Karp of Saginaw Michigan, John Quesnel and his wife Phyllis of Boca Raton Florida, his three children, son Mark and his wife Margaret, daughter Denise and her husband Joel House and son Eric and his wife Gloria, grandsons Joshua House and Paul Quesnel, granddaughters Erica House, Monica Quesnel, Jennifer Corral, Stephanie Molina and four great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his brother Bob Quesnel of Tucson Arizona and recently deceased granddaughter Blaire Molina.

Viewing will be Thursday September 12, at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 5 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be at the Church of Christ Friday September 13 at 1 pm, 138 North O Street, Lompoc. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Inc., 410 Allied Drive Nashville, TN 37211-9902 or Mission Hope Cancer Center 1325 East Church Street, Ste 301 Santa Maria, CA 93454.
