Mr Clodius worked as usual Tuesday afternoon and made business calls on many of his customers. He suffered a heart attack about 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Clarence Koch home where he lived, and died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, four hours later.
Mr Clodius was born July 22, 1884, in Nebraska and came to this community about 33 years ago. For the last 27 years he has operated a machine and general repair shop at 1 N Adams. He was well known in Ritzville and had a host of friends.
Mr Clodius' wife and three children preceded him in death several years ago. He is survived by one brother, William; three sisters, Mrs Lena Sellars and Mrs Anna Oestreich, Ritzville; and Mrs Emma Climie, Astoria, Ore.
