He is survived by children, Miss Ruby Gilchrist of Alabama City, Mrs. Belle Wood of Stockton, Ca., Thomas L. Gilchrist, of Curtiston, W.H. Gilchrist of Piedmont and one sister Mr. Belle Colvin of Gadsden.
