Funeral services for Bertha M. Jones, 104, New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with interment in Rehobeth Cemetery. She died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Rolling Hills Health Care, New Albany.
She was the former Bertha Arnold, a native of Harrison County. She was retired from the old White House Department Store and was the owner / operator of the old Jones Food Market. She was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and his wife, daughter, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Jones, son, Robert Eugene "Gene" Jones, grandson, David Adwell Jr., sister, Edith Pearl Sheely, son-in-law, Richard Madley, and parents, John and Sophia Arnold.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or Culbertson Baptist Church.
