Charles H. Gowin, 76, died September 13, 2013 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, September 16, 2013, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Gowin was born May 30, 1937 in Wellington and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. Charles married RoseAnn Lee in Miami on August 11, 1964. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, stationed at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. He worked for Pepsi Cola for a year Dodge City, Kansas as a truck driver. They moved back to Pampa in 1965, and he drove a truck for Pam-Tex and Kenneth Richardson for several years. He loved fishing and his Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. He loved all of his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed so much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Anna Gowin, his sister, Virginia Grace Gowin, and his brother, LeRoy Gowin.

Survivors include his wife, RoseAnn Gowin of the home; 4 children, Tanita L. Gowin, Tamilan L. Dallas and husband Alan, and Charles G. Gowin, all of Pampa and Teresa L. Dodd of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren, Ricky C. Spiller and wife Cindy, Alisha M. Dallas, Adeena M. Dallas, Arin J. Dallas, Jonathan A. Olson, Christopher C. Gowin and Braden C. Gowin, all of Pampa; Dakota C. Gowin and girlfriend, Kasey Spears, of Borger; Mecca C. Likes and husband Matthew of Lubbock; 6 great-grandchildren, Jaqueline M. Spiller, Colton A. Spiller, Daxton J. Dallas, Azdyn C. Dallas, all of Pampa; Payton K. Gowin of Borger, Ryan G. Likes of Lubbock, and one on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to a favorite charity.
