John was survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Hinton Turner; one son, Keith (Rachel) Turner; grandsons Kevin Turner and Craig Turner; one brother, Paul Turner and one sister, Clara Mae Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Esther Turner; two brothers: Clyde Turner and Glenn Turner and one sister, Mildred Turner.
