(Rufus) Odell Sparkman, 77, of Waco, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Friday, September 13, 2013.
The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, September 15, at the funeral home. Burial to follow, 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, at Rosemound Cemetery.
Odell was born November 13, 1935 to Robert and Stella Sparkman. He worked for Owens Illinois Glass Plant, retiring with 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 siblings; and daughter, Beverly Jane Sparkman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elnora Emma Newman Sparkman; children, Gloria Pustejovsky and husband, Larry Sr., Patsy Schimschat and husband, Raymond Sr., Pam Sparkman, Cindy Studer and husband, Richard and Ronald Sparkman; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Anette Hollingsworth; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
