Tom Rauch was born in rural Decatur County on August 23, 1923, the son of Clyde Rauch and Alice Rauch. He passed away September 12, 2013, at his home in Des Moines.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Arline Sarah (Hill) Rauch in January, 2013; grandson, Zachary; brothers, Lowell, Harold, and Wayne Rauch; and his sisters, Edna Lamb, Opal Bullington, Francis Sage, Elva Rhode, and Auddie Bear. He is survived by his two sons, Chester (Patricia) Rauch and Ronald Rauch; four grandchildren, Chris (Jill) Rauch, Tim Rauch, Nicole (Armel) Traore dit Nignan, and Eric Rauch; his great-grandchildren, Katie Oakes, Christa Rauch, and Zachary Rauch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
