He was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII. He retired from Olin/Ecusta after 45 years and was an active and faithful member of Little River Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.
He is survived by his children; two daughters, Judy Cox and her husband Rick of Crab Creek, and Sheila Bagwell and her husband Tony of Greenville, two sisters Mildred Hooper of Anderson, SC and Naomi Waldrop of Cherryfield, two grandchildren Jason Cox of Crab Creek and Bridgette Bagwell of Greenville.
A graveside service will be held at Little River Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Chris Farmer officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Little River Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
