Carrol A. Krotz, 64, of Kearney died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the St. Luke's Good Samaritan Villiage. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 16, 2013 at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Main officiating. Interment will be in the Kearney Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home of Kearney.
Carrol was born May 1, 1949 in Kearney to Wilbur and Dolores Bickford. She attended Bryant school and later Kearney High, earning her GED later in life. On March 27, 1968 she married Billy Joe Kersting and to this union was born a daughter, Barbara (Lewison) Kersting. Her second marriage was on November 2, 1979 to Dennis Krotz. She enjoyed sewing, bingo putting puzzles together and talking to others. She loved listening to Elvis Presley and dancing with Uncle Dale. She enjoyed working on the family tree and watching westerns.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sue Lewison of Kearney; granddaughters, Shalaine Kamp of Chaderon, Amy Kamp of Kearney; sisters, Phyllis Wilson and husband Harvey of Cozad, Tovey Srack of Kearney; brothers, Ray Bickford and wife Barb of Kearney, Delbert Bickford and wife Helen of Kearney; brother-in-laws, William Kinkaid and Raymond Krotz both of Kearney.
She is preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Barbara Bickford, Helen Kinkaid, and Clara Krotz, one nephew, one niece and one great niece.
