Dottie Sue Bliton, 49, of Madison, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.
She was born July 8, 1963, in Madison, the daughter of Garnett O. and Norma Faye Shouse Bliton.
She resided most of her life in Madison. She was a 1982 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College as a medical technician. She worked for Meyer's Manufacturing for 15 years, before working in the produce department at Walmart for five years. She worked in the cafeteria at the Indiana-Kentucky Electric Corporation for the past 12 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge 765. She enjoyed collecting bears, sewing, computers, flowers, going to Clifty Falls State Park, and spending time with her dog.
She is survived by her mother of Madison; one sister, Ann Marie Bliton of Madison; one brother, Jeffrey O. Bliton of Madison; 11 aunts and uncles; one niece; one great-nephew; and several cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, who died April 29, 2004; her grandparents, Faye Wesley "Dude" and Dorothy L. Pelsor Bliton, and Luther Shouse and Susan Matthews; her fiancé, Richard James "Rick" Ell, who died May 5, 2009; two uncles; and two cousins.
The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be at a later date in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
