Funeral services for Waxie Chapman, 68, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel of the Sullivan Funeral Home, with Rev. J.W. Pierce officiating. Mrs. Chapman died suddenly Wednesday morning of a heart attack. She was born January 26, 1880, in Iberia, Missouri, and had been a resident of Bristow for the past 44 years.
She is survived by one son, O.C. Chapman of Bristow and eight step-children, Calvin, Neal, and Arthur of Bristow, Roy of Washington, Mrs. J.F. Carr, Tulsa, Mrs. O.C. Inmann, Olive, Mrs. W.A. Self, Tahlequah, and Mrs. Charles Lowery, Oklahoma City.
Burial was made in Oaklawn cemetery.
