She was born Nov. 15, 1910 in Danville, Ill. the daughter of Otha C. and Leah Ethel (Cronk) Snyder, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Sept. 12, 1937 in Chesterton, she married Harley Meese, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Leanna (Lester) Borg of Chesterton and Marilyn Cline of Topeka, Kan.; a brother, Kenneth (Jean) Lewin of Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy (Robert) Danskin of Highland; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Everett Lewin; four sisters, Mildred Gast, Lucille McHone, Elizabeth Rasmussen and Marge Warrington.
Helen was a life long resident. She was employed in sales in real estate.
A funeral service, Bernie Cagle officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
