ASHEVILLE-Dorothy "Dot" Irene Gallion Hyams, 101, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center.
A life ling resident of Buncombe County. She was a member of West ASheville Presbyterian Church.
Mrs.Hyams was the daughter of the late Aldolpus Liston Gallion and Carrie Goodson Gallion and the wife of the late Thomas Rollins Hyams. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings and infant son, Norman Eugene Hyams and grandson Scott Larsen.
Surviving are her daughters, Jo Larsen and husband Ken of Asheville and Mary Ann Wilkerson and her husband Don of Bolling Springs SC; grandchildren, Bth Larsen and husband Scott King of Athens, GA. and Donna Gabril and husband John of Matthews; great grandchildren, Michael and Reese Gabriel and Karen King and serverl nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. A. Willis Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memaorial Park.
The family will receive friends 1 to 2 P.M. at the funera home.
