TAZEWELL, VA. – Mrs. Elizabeth ‘Liz' Trail Yost, 66, of the Gratton area of Tazewell, died Friday, November 28, 1997 at a Tazewell hospital.
Born May 28, 1931 in Tazewell County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Linzie and Sarah Hogston Trail.
She was a member of the Dial Rock Church of God and also attended the Concord United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Trail and one granddaughter, Kathryn Carla Yost.
Survivors include: her husband, Doyle Allen Yost; one daughter, Christine Thompson and her husband, Mike Thompson of North Tazewell, Va.; one son, Allen Yost and his wife, Lillian Yost of Tazewell; five sisters, Emily Sheets of Bowie, Md., Mildred Asbury of Louisville, Ky., Louise Quesenberry of Tazewell, Shirley Davis of Yadkinville, N.C., and Margaret Barrett of Beltsville, Md.; one brother, Linzie Trail of Beltsville; four grandchildren, Kelli Thompson, Justin Thompson, Herbie Yost and Cynthia Wright.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with Rev. Larry Ramey, Rev. Larry Carroll and Rev. Kenneth Conner officiating
Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery at Gratton, Va.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Hassel Rife, Jack Young, Bill Buchanan, Dennis Jones, Ernie Blevins, and Bill Steele.
