WELLINGTON - Markeda Joan "Skeet" Thomas, 50, a Wellington homemaker, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 31, 2005, at her home. She was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Oswego to James and Luceba (Hopkins) Thomas Sr. Survivors include her mother, Blanche Thomas of Wellington; a brother, James Thomas Jr. of Wellington; and a sister, Vickie Enfield of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Tim Thomas and Paul Thomas. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at East Bethany Cemetery in Parsons with the Rev. Lewis Smith Sr. of Hospice Care of Kansas in Parsons officiating. Memorials are to Hospice Care of Kansas, 1010 W. Ninth St., Wellington, Kan., 67152. Day Funeral Home and Crematory of Wellington is in charge of arrangements.
