Thebna Coltrane (Peggy) Ratcliffe, age 81, of Marion, VA and formerly of Pulaski, died Friday July 16, 1993 in the Smyth County Community Hospital.

She was born in Pulaski, the daughter of the late Lawrence Morgan and Bessie Midkiff Coltrane.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hensil Ratcliffe and was a member of the Marion Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Fay R. Vickers of Marion; a son, Larry T. Ratcliffe of Christiansburg; two brothers, Bill Coltrane of Pulaski and James Coltrane of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Keith Dunagan, Kippy Vickers, Mike Vickers, Lora Robinson, Tracy Ratcliffe and Tammy Barton; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, from the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Dr. William Slater officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornsprings Cemetery in Pulaski. The family sincerely requests that those whom prefer may make memorials to the Joy Ranch of Hillsville, VA. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Barnett Funeral Home, Marion, VA. Barnett Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements.
