IRMO - A graveside service for Mrs. Dorothy Hanna Vanderlip, 93, of Irmo, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Officiating will be Chaplain Terry Cromer. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Mrs. Vanderlip passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. Born in Gastonia, NC, she was a daughter of the late David B. Hanna and Minnie Lewis Hanna. Mrs. Vanderlip had retired from North Carolina Orthopedic Hospital, and Eastminister Presbyterian Church as a Pre-school and Sunday School teacher.

Surviving are grandchildren, Andrew Christopher Crump and Lindsay Elizabeth Crump, both of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Dolly Vanderlip Osburn of Lacrosse, WI; nieces, Barbara Olson and Beverly Schnick of Carey, NC. She was predeceased by husband, Parks H. Vanderlip of 68 years; two brothers; and two sisters; and many loving friends.

Memorials can be made to Carolina Children's Home, 3201 Trenholm road, Columbia, SC 29204. The family would like to thank all of our family and friends during this time in need.
