Mrs. Mary Lucille Brown, 84, died Sunday, March 15, 1998 at the Pemiscot Memorial Nursing Home in Hayti, Mo.
Born February 14, 1914 in McNairy County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Odom and Ida Voles Gray.
Mary was united in marriage with Haze Brown who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Wheeler.
A homemaker, Mrs. Brown was of the Assemblies of God faith.
Mrs. Brown leaves five sons: Ray Brown, of Steele, Mo., Richard Brown, of Holland, Mo., A.J. Brown and Thurman Brown, of Caruthersville, Mo., and Jackie Brown, of Paris, Texas; one grandson, James Shelton, of Caruthersville, whom she raised; two daughters: Virginia Holt of Holland, Mo., and Addie McElhaney of Caruthersville; two brothers: Carl Gray of Steele, and Atwill Gray of Michie, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Trout officiating.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, with Bradshaw Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Harold Rushing, William Durbin, Martin Henderson, Mark Roberts, Herbert McCaig, and John Raines.
