COOKEVILLE: Funeral services for Warren G. Carter, 73, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., June 27, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-9p.m. on Sat., June 26, and from noon until time of services on Sunday.

Mr. Carter died Friday June 25 1999, at his home.

He was born on Aug 5 1925, in Jackson County to the late Willis E. and Nellie Vetetoe Carter. Mr. Carter was a carpenter and a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ.

His family includes his wife, Irene Steward Carter of Cookeville; a son Kenneth Carter of Cookeville; three daughters, Susan Randolph of Springfield, and Barbra Burton and Kathy Payne, both of Cookeville; two brothers, James McKinney Carter of Mississippi and Myrlin W. Carter of North Carolina; nine grandchilden and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceeded in death by a brother, Isham B. Carter.

Bro. Ralph Dunn will officiate the services.
