GAST - Amelia A., 86, of Louisville, passed away on September 3, 2005, at Jewish Hospital. She was the former Amelia Doerr, and a native of Louisville. She was a retiree from PeeWee Reese Bowling Lanes, a volunteer for many years at Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Robert E. Newman Post. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold J. Gast Sr.; sisters, Ollie Mae, Susie, Catherine, Christine; brothers, Johnny, Martin, Henry and Melvin. She is survived by her children; son, Harold J. Gast Jr. (Scherle); daughters, Judy Schupp (Tommy), Janiese Shockley (Lou), Janie Seadler (Jerry); brother, Ellis Doerr; grandchildren, Cindy, Susannah, Angela, Jennifer, Jera, Julie, Melanie, Mark, Joey, David, Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Katie, Madison, Danielle, Nicole, William, Thomas, Brandon, Corey, Mark, Matthew, Austin, Robert, Andrew, Tryston, and Paul Joseph. Her funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005; from noon-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2005; and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, all at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
